ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Chris Rocheleau, whose dedication to aviation safety and the aerospace community has spanned more than three decades and includes service to the U.S. Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration, and Transportation Security Administration, is the new Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors for ATCA, an organization he calls “a vital forum” for addressing key issues, fostering collaboration among stakeholders and shaping aviation’s future. “I am honored to have been chosen by ATCA’s membership to serve in this important position,” Rocheleau said.

Currently serving as the Board Secretary, Rocheleau will serve a two-year term as Chair-Elect, beginning on Jan. 1, 2025, followed by a two-year term as Chair. Current Chair-Elect, Paul Feldman, will begin his two-year term as Chair on Jan. 1, 2025, succeeding current Board Chair Rachel Jackson.

Rocheleau, whose full-time role is the Chief Operating Officer at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has extensive experience in aviation. Prior to joining NBAA in 2022, Rocheleau served the FAA for over 20 years in multiple roles including acting associate administrator for aviation safety, chief of staff, assistant administrator for policy, international affairs and environment, executive director for international affairs and director of the office of emergency operations and investigations.

“In his time on the Board, Chris has made so many valuable contributions to the association, providing insights and leadership as the organization seeks to serve our members in new and more valuable ways, Jackson said. Working with our President, Carey Fagan, both Paul and Chris will continue to identify enhancements to better meet the needs of our membership. Chris’ proven track record of performance, especially at the FAA, is of particularly high value at this moment for our organization as we refocus on fostering education, collaboration, thought leadership, and advocacy.”

“The aviation industry is at a pivotal moment, with significant advancements and evolving complexities in airspace management, sustainability, workforce development, and the integration of new technologies,” Rocheleau said. “In partnership with Paul and Carey, I will be dedicated to ensuring that ATCA remains at the forefront of the aviation industry, driving solutions to the most pressing challenges and seizing new opportunities for growth.”
