ATCA Supports FAA Organizational Restructuring
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – ATCA today expressed support for the Federal Aviation Administration's comprehensive organizational restructuring announced by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford.
"ATCA supports this restructuring, particularly the creation of a dedicated Safety Integration Office that will implement an agency-wide safety management system and risk management process," said ATCA President and CEO Stephen Creamer. "A unified approach to safety oversight is critical as we advance air traffic control system modernization."
The reorganization creates new offices focused on airspace modernization and advanced aviation technologies, including integration of drones, eVTOLs, and other emerging aircraft into the National Airspace System.
"Streamlining the FAA's organizational structure should help facilitate the decision-making and coordination needed during this pivotal period for NAS modernization," Creamer added. "ATCA looks forward to working with the agency as it implements the Brand New Air Traffic Control System strategy."
The restructuring, described as the largest in FAA history, is designed to increase operational efficiency and position the agency to meet current and future aviation challenges.
